As a therapist (Laura Greenwood) and an educator (Becky Carlzon), we’ve both seen how children’s well-being and growth are profoundly shaped by the adults around them.
When parents and educators work together — consciously, compassionately, and courageously — we can break generational patterns, reduce trauma, and create environments where children truly thrive.
But this begins with us.
We can’t think or read our way through this. We have to feel, reflect, and heal — so we can model that same curiosity, resilience and safety for the young people we care for.
How to create emotionally safe spaces for children — where all feelings are valid and welcomed
Why discomfort isn’t wrong — and how growth lives on the other side of it
How to use triggers and activations as invitations to heal and grow
Simple day-to-day therapeutic and self-awareness practices that build emotional resilience in children
Breaking free of inherited patterns — and showing young people that feeling is safe, not scary
Building conscious, supportive relationships and finding “your people”
We’ll share real stories from our personal and professional lives — the messy, honest moments that shaped us — and offer practical strategies you can take away and start using immediately
If you have influence in a young person’s life, this session is for you.
