Are you looking to deepen your students’ capacity to learn this year so they flourish into independent, capable learners?
This FREE 75-minute webinar will explore key frameworks to structure your learning journey with your students and plan powerful, practical next steps.
But what does this really look like in practice?
How are we cultivating learners who:
And why is this important?
We believe that cultivating lifelong learners is one of the, if not, THE most important aspect of education to pay attention to.
Because learning-to-learn applies to all learning experiences, in and out of school, no matter what curriculum you follow; it applies to and will transcend our current education systems.
No matter where we are and what we are learning, knowing how to learn and get ever-better at learning will always be essential, both to reach out own unlimited potentials and for humanity as a whole to reach its unlimited potential.
In this webinar, we will explore the key frameworks which will enable you to get set up with a powerful learning-focused classroom.
We will collectively explore what makes a great learner and why we believe it’s important to cultivate life-long learners. From this basis, we will build a picture and understanding of what we are aiming for and why it’s important for us and our students.
I will share the 3 key frameworks that underpin the Learning Power Approach (LPA). You will have to opportunity to reflect on strengths and stretches and will have take-away copies to use in your planning and day-to-day practice.
We will explore 3 practical, engaging “ins” to get started and dive deeper with the LPA. Since our learning community, Learning Pioneers, has been collectively exploring and embedding the LPA into a variety of contexts across the globe for the past 4 years, we will make sure these ideas pack a punch and are applicable to all learning contexts.
Hi, I’m Becky Carlzon, the founder of Learning Pioneers, a powerful, purposeful international learning community of educators. Its structure and approach is based on research into collective efficacy, the power of community and teacher agency and collaboration.
As a classroom practitioner, the heart of my practice is underpinned by the Design Principles of the Learning Power Approach (LPA) and are outlined in mine and Guy Claxton's book, Powering up Children as well as blending inquiry-led and playful approaches to learning. Through staying connected with leading schools and fellow practitioners in the Learning Pioneers and PressPlay learning communities, I am continually wondering about and supporting educators to implement impactful, innovative practice.
